This Ramadan is unlike any other. We are observing this holy month against the backdrop of a live, televised genocide occurring in Palestine - where Palestinians do not have food for suhoor (pre-dawn meal) or iftaar (sunset meal). This lesson is a painful realization of Palestinians’ past and current Ramadan experiences while under brutal Zionist colonial rule committing war crimes.
