What is Al Thawabet?

Al Thawabet, meaning "constants," are the core, uncompromising principles of the Palestinian liberation struggle. These red lines, established by the Palestinian National Council in 1968, represent the demands on which there can be no sacrifice. They have been upheld for decades as the foundation of Palestinian resistance and national identity.

Evacuate Fadi and Ali Action Alert

Fadi Al-Whidi, a 25-year old Al-Jazeera cameraman, who has risked his life for the last year to document “Israel’s” atrocities across Gaza was targeted and shot in the neck by the Zionist occupation on October 9th, 2024. Images of Fadi stunned the world as they were reminiscent of the targeting of Shireen Abu-Akleh, two years earlier, laying face down while his colleagues and friends shouted his name in desperation hoping for a response.

A week later, Fadi fell into a coma and remains in coma today, requiring to be evacuated from North Gaza to receive life-saving medical treatment. The Zionist occupation continues to deny his evacuation while he fights for his life. We demand action #SaveFadiAlWhidi

Ali Al-Attar, another 27-year old Al-Jazeera cameraman, was injured in a Zionist airstrike in Deir Al Balah on October 8th, 2024. Like Fadi, Ali requires evacuation for critical medical attention to save his life. Ali and Fadi are amongst many journalists who have worked tirelessly to bring the truth to light, and who have been deliberately targeted by the Zionist occupation in an attempt to commit their crimes in Gaza freely.

The Greater Israel Project

The vision of “Greater Israel” has roots in early Zionist thought, particularly in the writings and speeches of prominent figures such as Theodor Herzl, who envisioned a Jewish state that would stretch from the Nile to the Euphrates. This idea is based on biblical claims, which were appropriated by the Zionist movement to justify territorial expansion and the displacement of indigenous populations. Zionist leaders have often referred to this notion, not merely as a religious ideal, but as a political objective necessary for the survival and security of the settler colony.

Islam and Palestine

Islam is inseparable from the Palestinian identity, yet it does not exclude solidarity among Palestinians of other faiths. When families in Gaza face the loss of loved ones, they perform the Janaza prayer, seeking solace in the belief that martyrs are not dead but alive with their Lord, as described in the Quran: "Do not consider those who are slain in the path of Allah as dead; rather, they are alive and well-provided for by their Lord." (Quran 3:169).

However, the Zionist settler regime has imposed severe restrictions on the practice of Islam, particularly in accessing Masjid Al-Aqsa, the third holiest site in Islam. These restrictions are not just about limiting access to a place of worship but are part of a broader attempt to dominate and erase Palestinian presence in their own land.

Zionist Lies and Crimes

Following a genocidal invasion of the Gaza Strip, the Zionist occupation forces exhibited a recurring pattern of violence, targeting hospitals and killing Palestinians with intuitive precision. This well-documented pattern has become almost a muscle memory for the reoccurring Zionist violence. The bombing of Al Ahli Baptist Hospital was one of the first attacks in this sequence of terror and destruction regarding Hospitals in the Gaza Strip.

The Naksa of 1967

The 1967 Naksa, or “setback,” was an attempt by the settler colony of “Israel” to brutally finish the job of the 1948 Nakba. We call it “setback” as it was instrumental in “Israel’s” violent land grab of what was left of historical Palestine including the West Bank and Gaza Strip and the additional territory of the Golan Heights in Syria and Sinai in Egypt, resulting in “Israel” tripling in size (27,000 sq km).
